Generator Rental Services

Emergency Power Solutions for South Florida’s Contractors, Businesses, and Homeowners

Generator rental units portable and towable

From powering the tools on your job site to providing emergency power for Florida's busy hurricane season, Durante Equipment has the right small, medium, or large-sized generator rental to meet your needs. Our generator rentals are reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.

Our smaller and medium, gasoline-powered generator rentals range in size from 2500W to 9700W and are perfect for homes and businesses. They help keep your lights on during blackouts, and their small size allows you to bring power with you wherever you need it. Power outlets on the unit allow you to plug extension cords, electric-powered tools, and appliances into it. Get your lights, fans, televisions, computers, refrigerators, and small kitchen appliances running again in no time.

A medium-sized generator rental is ideal for electric equipment and tools such as circular saws, concrete mixers, tile cutters, vibrators, air compressors, and temporary lifts or elevators.

Larger diesel-powered generators, which are also referred to as Gensets, are suited to supply the electrical needs of an entire home, office, or construction site as they can handle more demanding loads.

Our genset generator rental units come in four models ranging in power from 20 kW (25 kVA) to 58 kW (79 kVA). They allow you to power heavy-duty equipment such as air conditioners, industrial machinery, construction tools, and larger-scale electrical systems. Our Gensets, from well-known manufacturers such as Wacker Neuson and Multiquip, are designed to provide reliable and continuous power for extended periods, making them suitable for backup power in large buildings, construction sites, hospitals, data centers, and other high-power-demanding environments.

How to Choose the Right Generator Size for Residential or Commercial Use

Assess your power requirements. Create a list of all the essential appliances, equipment, and systems that need to be powered during an outage such as refrigerators, air conditioners, lighting, pumps, and heating systems.

Calculating the Required Power: Add up the wattage or kilowatt ratings of all the equipment on your list. Some devices have both a running (continuous) power rating and a higher starting (surge) power rating. The surge rating accommodates the initial power spike when the device starts up to prevent overloading.

Sizing Guidelines - Residential Use: A generator with a capacity of 2,500 to 10,000 watts should suffice for powering essential appliances and systems. Larger homes should consider generators in the range of 10,000 to 20,000 watts, depending on the number of appliances, HVAC systems, and other equipment.

Sizing Guidelines - Commercial Use: A capacity of 10,000 to 30,000 watts can handle the power needs of most small businesses, including lighting, computers, and basic equipment. Powering larger offices and retail spaces requires 30,000 to 75,000 watts. Industrial applications may require 75,000+ watts for heavy-duty machinery, large-scale operations, or critical facilities.
